Daniel Ochu -Volunteers Are Needed

Call for Volunteers: A Month of Compassion

As we approach the month of June, I invite you to join me in a meaningful initiative that resonates deeply with the values of kindness and community service. This June, I am seeking volunteers to visit abandoned elderly parents in our community, providing essential care and support from June 1 to June 30.

Why This Matters

Many elderly individuals, particularly those without family support, often face challenges with daily hygiene and personal care. Your involvement can make a tangible difference in their lives. By dedicating just a few hours each week, volunteers can help wash clothes, assist with bathing, and offer companionship to those who feel isolated and neglected.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Volunteers will be tasked with:

  • Assisting with laundry for the elderly, ensuring they have clean clothing.

  • Helping with personal hygiene, including bathing and grooming.

  • Providing companionship and conversation to uplift their spirits.

  • Ensuring a safe and clean living environment.

How to Get Involved

If you are interested in volunteering, please consider the following:

  • Commitment: Sign up for one or more days during the month, dedicating at least two to three hours per visit.

  • Training: Prior to beginning, a brief orientation will be held to ensure that all volunteers feel comfortable and prepared for their responsibilities.

  • Supplies: We will provide necessary supplies, but volunteers may also bring any additional items that they feel could enhance the experience for those we serve.

Making a Difference

This initiative not only marks my birth month but serves as a reminder of our duty to uplift those in our community who may feel forgotten. Your involvement can help restore dignity and joy to the lives of these individuals, showcasing the profound impact of compassion and community spirit.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please fill out the form below. Together, we can make this June a month of love, care, and connection for our senior citizens. Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a lasting difference.
