Parent Appreciation Day
Daniel Ochu - Parent Appreciation Letter
Parent Appreciation Day
Dear Mom,
Today, I want to pause and say the words that often get buried beneath the busyness of life: thank you, from the deepest part of my heart.
Thank you for your endless care, for always putting us first, even when it cost you comfort, rest, or peace. You’ve carried us not only in your womb but in your heart, through every stage of life.
You fast and pray for us so faithfully, so passionately, as if your whole life depends on our success. And in many ways, it does, because that’s how deep your love runs. There is a power in your prayers that moves mountains. I’ve felt it. I’ve seen it. And I know it’s part of why we are still standing strong today.
I’ll never forget how you can’t even fall asleep when we’re traveling, not until we arrive and call you to say, “We made it.” Only then do you rest. That kind of love is beyond human—it’s divine. It’s the love of a mother who refuses to let her children go through this world uncovered.
You don’t just care for us, you war for us in prayer. You carry us with strength that few can comprehend and a faith that never breaks, even in your quiet moments of exhaustion.
I admire you, Mom. Not just for what you’ve done, but for who you are. A woman of love, intercession, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion.
If I could give you the world, it still wouldn’t match what you’ve given me. But I promise to live in a way that honors your sacrifices—to walk the path you’ve cleared with your prayers and tears.
I love you deeply. I thank God every day that He made you my mother.
Forever grateful,
Prince Daniel Ochu
